South Boston

South Boston is well known for it’s Irish-Catholic heritage which is still very prominent today. Known as “Southie” by the locals, South Boston nightlife, dining and entertainment is an experience in itself. It’s easy to find classic Irish pubs in the area but excellent restaurants and authentic scenery are also prides of Southie. The waterfront is also a popular place for visitors to spend an afternoon. In March, South Boston is packed with people celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. There is definitely no better place to be on that day. Some popular places include Amrheims, Nancy Whiskey’s and the Playwright.
