Who Should Attend: Anyone who coaches or wants to employ coaching strategies
Prerequisites: None. While not required, participants are strongly encouraged to have read The Art of Coaching (Jossey-Bass, 2013) prior to the workshop.
Description: What are the basics of transformational coaching? What distinguishes this coaching model from other approaches? How can I start using this model now? The Essentials of the Art of Coaching is a 2 day training focused on the coaching conversation and supports coaches, teachers, and administrators in building the skill and capacity of other educators. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of transformational coaching. Activities include: observing masterful coaching, refining listening strategies, applying analytical frameworks, and practicing different kinds of coaching conversations.
