In this interactive performance, we will share stories of supporting and being supported by family--whatever that word means to you. As an LGBTQIA+ person, when have you felt deeply supported and affirmed in your identity? What did that look like? As a family member, when have you struggled to support and affirm an LGBTQIA+ loved one, and what have successes looked like? How do these experiences look different at different ages or across different family relationships?
This intergenerational event is sponsored by LexPride as part of our Celebrating LGBTQ+ Seniors project, which is supported by a grant from the Dana Home Foundation. It is cosponsored by Lexington Senior Services, Arlington Council on Aging, and Arlington LGBTQIA+ Rainbow Commission.
