Immerse yourself in an evening of Piano 4 Hands; presented by Eiko Ishizuka and Yoshiko Kline. A series of short pieces evoking individual narratives and imagery inspired by the atmosphere of the music.
Event Details
Eiko Ishizuka and Yoshiko Kline capture the movement and gestures of the piano works for 4 hands by Émile Jaques-Dalcroze and Maurice Ravel; creating an emotional, aural depiction of each short piece. Use their inspiration as a guide to form your own narrative and imagery. Featuring piano works from their CD release "Œuvres Pour Piano a 4 Mains."
Mainly recognized for his visionary teaching method, it is our desire to help promote the music of Dalcroze as well. Through the release of our CD "Œuvres Pour piano a 4 mains" and concert performances, we hope to bring further attention to his musical works and begin broadening the Dalcroze repertoire.
