Permanently Closed.. Located on Boston's Rose Kennedy Greenway, Townsman is a lively, New England restaurant, offering modern farmhouse and brasserie style cuisine and service.

Chefs Matt and Kate Jennings' expression of a casual, celebratory New England dining atmosphere, Townsman is meant to represent- and be created for- us all.

We feel like food should be fun. Townsman has been designed to be your 'local haunt' for everything from the casual burger or pasta at the bar on a snowy night, to a spectacular local seafood plateau and farm driven salad on the patio in the summer.

Come alone, with friends, or that special someone. The quality and caliber of your experience should be the same- a gracious menu and service style, that puts the guest first and everything else, second.

Particular attention is paid to New England seasonality, and the relationships we have developed with growers, ranchers, fishermen and artisans from across our region. You will see these relationships reflected in our menus of both food and drink.

Abraham Lincoln once said "It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues". We couldn't agree more. Townsman is here to accept you as you are, to feed you as you should be, and to nourish your belly and soul.
