Mark Memorial Day at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston with free admission, art-making activities, gallery tours, music and film!
Event Details
Performances throughout the day include an original presentation by high-school youth from Sociedad Latina's Youth Music Ambassadors group, and a one-of-a-kind concert featuring local immigrant and refugee musicians from around the world sharing songs of liberation and tolerance, commissioned and organized by the Jewish Arts Collaborative. Visitors can also catch a screening of the documentary film "Orchestra of Exiles," the founding story of the Israeli Philharmonic.
Open house activities also include art making and gallery tours. Drop in on a range of hands-on art-making activities, tour the galleries with trained experts, and explore exhibitions: “Matisse in the Studio,” “Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross,” and “Botticelli and the Search for the Divine.”
